Couve Culture Weekender: June 19th - June 22nd

It’s Thursday, June 19th in the ‘Couve…

Summer is officially flexing its golden-hour muscles—and I, for one, am not mad about it. I’ll be sneaking away to the coast this weekend for some much-needed camping (and probably burning at least one marshmallow into charcoal art). So while I won't be hitting the local scene myself, I will be watching your Instagram stories from a camp chair with questionable cell service.

If I weren’t heading off-grid, I’d absolutely be checking out the NW Tiki Marketplace (yes please to vintage aloha shirts and cocktail mugs I don’t need) and the Summer Night Market at Brickhouse, which looks like peak “wander and impulse buy things while pretending I’m only here for the music” energy. Also, shoutout to my daughters for a top-tier Father’s Day last weekend—they absolutely crushed it with homemade breakfast, custom magnets, and more hugs than I knew what to do with. 10/10 parenting weekend.

Here are my top 5 picks for this weekend:

  • 🌺 NW Tiki Marketplace – Retro aloha wear, rare tiki mugs, and tropical cocktails

  • 🛍 Summer Night Market at Brickhouse – Artisan goods, live bands, and patio hangs

  • 🐝 Family Play Day – Kids' performances, hands-on fun, and community joy

  • 🚣 Dragon Boat Paddles – Free summer paddling sessions, no experience needed

  • 🛒 Lucky 7 Flea Market – Vintage finds, weird treasures, and excellent people-watching

Keep scrolling for the full lineup, and enjoy some local sunshine for me—I’ll be out of office and off the grid (but never out of Couve love).

See you next week.

That’s all I’ve got for this week, folks. I’m off to roast marshmallows, forget bug spray, and aggressively relax at the coast. Whether you’re hitting up the night market, paddling dragon boats, or just vibing with a cold brew in your backyard, I hope your weekend is full of sunshine, serendipity, and at least one impulse purchase from a local vendor.

If you go to something cool, tag me @couve_culture or send pics—I live for the FOMO.

See you next week (hopefully with less sand in my shoes).
