Couve Culture Weekender: Aug 28th -Aug 31st

This week brought to you in partnership with Ponderosa Garage Doors.

It’s Thursday August 28th in the Couve…

… and somehow it already rained in the middle of August. Summer isn’t done yet thoug. This weekend is a little quieter now that school is back in session but there is still plenty to do. Between Toto belting “Africa” in Ridgefield, Split Flipper pinball chaos, and the return of Ridgefield’s Live & Local fest, you’ve got no excuse to say “there’s nothing to do.”

Also, parents—school’s back in session for most of you. Except Evergreen. Y’all are still in strike limbo… good luck explaining that to your kids 🤷. Meanwhile, I’ll be avoiding the 3-day In-N-Out line in Ridgefield and keeping it local in Vancouver.

This weekend’s standouts:

  • Toto + Men At Work + Christopher Cross

  • Pearcy DeMartini Performing the Music of Ratt

  • Break Window & Chad Bault

  • Split Flipper Habitat Tournament

  • Ridgefield Live & Local

Btw, follow us on Instagram for even more weekend ideas & event updates.

✈️ Cheap Flights

If you’re tired of dodging raindrops in August, these flights look mighty tempting. Maui is practically begging us back at under $300, London is cheaper than a weekend at Ilani, and Hong Kong feels like the kind of trip you could casually “forget” to mention to your coworkers until you return with epic food pics.

Honestly, whether it’s mai tais, meat pies, or dim sum—these deals might be cheaper than gas for a round-trip on I-5 during rush hour.
