Couve Culture Weekender: Aug 21st - 24th

It’s Thursday August 14th in the Couve…

…and yes, the rumors are true: In-N-Out finally opened in Ridgefield yesterday, and traffic immediately went full I-5-at-rush-hour mode. I might risk life, limb, and sanity for a Double-Double, but no promises.

This weekend I’m planning on taking my daughters to the Movies in the Park for Barbie, which feels like peak summer parent energy. Also—holy milestone—we officially have more than 10,000 of you in the Couve Culture crew. I can’t thank you enough for reading, sharing, and putting up with my hot takes about local traffic.

Sometimes I feel like PDX is just teasing us—mistake fares popped up this week to Singapore for $171 and Hong Kong for $244, but they vanished faster than parking at Esther Short on a Saturday.

The good news? Vegas is calling, Barcelona is flirting, and Manila is patiently waiting. I don’t know about you, but my fall calendar suddenly feels wide open for “research trips.”
